John (Jack) R. Wright
Professor of Political Science
Professor Wright specializes in American politics, with emphasis on interest groups and their relations with Congress, the Supreme Court, and the federal bureaucracy. He is author of Interest Groups and Congress: Lobbying, Contributions, and Influence (Allyn & Bacon, 1996), as well as numerous articles in the American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, and other leading scholarly journals. He has been the recipient of several research grants from the National Science Foundation. His current research investigates the activities of interest groups on advisory committees of the federal bureaucracy.
