BIOGRAPHY

Born in North Central California and raised near the Bay Area, I am an alumnus of Howard University by way of Sacramento City College. I graduated from Howard with bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Philosophy. While at Howard, I joined the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program, and I earned a fellowship from the Ralph Bunche Summer Institute. Both are programs designed to give traditionally disadvantaged students the opportunity to pursue graduate education. Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at The Ohio State University, majoring in American Politics and minoring in Political Psychology. My research interests include racial and ethnic politics, political behavior, and public opinion. For my dissertation, I plan to analyze racial and ethnic differences in political participation. You can find more information about my research interests by going to my Research page or by checking out my Curriculum Vitae.
